SSD has awesome boot times but sucky resume.
It also takes a while to hibernate. I ditched the ssd for a 10krpm WD velociraptor and I'm getting 8 seconds cold boot and the same for resume.
Well I picked this board up..It's nice! Bios is a world over from my last jetway. I am running with an OCZ v2 SSD. Also, the processor is an AMD Fx-62 Dual core so it's ready to rock. I don't know how you get such good resume times. I honestly can say for some reason my Cold Boot is faster than my resume. The cold boot is unbelievable. Cold boot is 10 seconds and Reume( hibernate ) seems to be about 16. Why would that be??

technically it's because SSD has good read times but lousy write times.
Boot = read only
Hibernate - read and write.
so there...
Yeah the Standby takes forever to go into! Either way it's a big step up from my 7200 Seagate. Maybe i'll just do cold boot...
I would have thought SSD can resume and hibernate faster because they have fast performance with sequential writes/reads (large blocks of data). But disappointingly, my standard ee25 80gb hard drive + Jetway j7f2we2g gets about the same resume times as listed above. I think Ill hold off buying a SSD for a little longer...
i also have this board.
struggling to relise what ports my leads gointo on the back for sound
I have my rears plugged into the orange (top right) and the fronts plugged into the bottom port on the same side. Problem being i only get sound when i acctivated 8.1 surround sound. Im obviously only running 4 speakers so dont think its the best idea running that setup.
Any one done the same with there car ? can u tell me wot ones u plugged into.
4got to add. ive had this running since Oct , no heat issues .. and ive given it 4+hour runs , its in a BMW cdchanger case , so probally smaller than a zoom or MCS case , but possibly more holes for air flow.
please help me take out 2.1 sound output from this board?
So, I am confused...Does this board S-3 Suspend? When I set it for standby it just says "Preparing to standby" but next time it starts it's a Cold Boot.
