Thread: Jetway NC62K Review

Got my S3 suspend issue worked out but now of course it never fails that something else is wrong. My USB devices are finicky...GPS barely gets a signal most of the time, slow to resume touch screen etc.. I am using an OPUS 320W so I doubt it's a power issue... I installed and reinstalled latest Chipset driver from Jetways webiste..Any ideas?

Damn you, now I have re-think getting this mobo. Of course I'm planning cold boots only so your resume problems won't be an issue for me.

Haha...I don't think it is a stand by issue anymore... POSSIBLY, a power issue although I dont see how with an OPUS 320W. I did read another review of it on Newegg.com and someone reported the same issues... There aren't any clear cut USB 2.0 Drivers for it other than the windows ones, and the Nvidia chipset pack doesn't seem to do anything for them.

Could it be a bad motherboard? Although why would it work for a while and then get flaky.

It seems fine..I really dont know where to start and I hate USB issues because it could be 50,000 different things causing it.

I actually had to disable USB 2.0, and just use 1.1. I disabled the enhanced controller interface (2 of them) in device manager. After that, USB has been reliable.

This seems to be a Windows driver issue. USB 2.0 works fine for me in Linux with this board.

I'm using version A05 of the BIOS.

Yeah I don't think this board plays nice at all with the windows drivers, neither did my old jetway. I was very hopeful that having the nvidia chipset would take care of this... Thos freaking MS Drivers are from 2001. Service pack 3 for XP has been out and it didn't change so I doubt if it ever will.

I had this board now for more than a month . it was working very well and with out any even small problem with windows 7 , But after i moved to Windows XP the problem start to appear all together . Began with USB to shouting down .

I think that I'm just gonna return back to windows 7 .

Are you getting decent boot times with Windows 7?

It seemed a little slow in the limited testing I've done.
