I think I might just ditch this MB for another socket AM2. In a CARPC USB is everything, and it just isn't working right.

did you set your opus to standby mode? If not it'll cut power after a certain time after sending the acpi
Yes it's set for standby mode and seems to go into S3 just fine. The documentation this board is very poor and some of the jumpers are just not included anywhere in the manual. I do NOT have powered hubs, I am running them right into the board. You think using powered hub's would solve this? This sounds like a power issue to you?
It's worth a shot.
I've just used an opus for a project to power a wifi router AND a mini projector. Disconnect everything usb and try again.
Also maybe it's your touchscreen preventing it from going standby.
Try hooking up a ps2 mouse, or keyboard, disconnect everything USB and try again
how soon after going to standby did you restart it? try 2 mins, 5 mins etc.. see if you can actually get it to standby and resume on a shorter time then try from there.
I've been using standby for months. It works. The USB devices hover are hit or miss upon restart. Even if I restart the computer completely they still have issues. I just walked to my car after it being off for 3 hours and the USB GPS is still lit up. Why do you think I am not going into standby? I am pretty sure I am.
touchscreen is usually the culprit.
Anyway I use hibernate and have no problems with USB
I'm using a DSATX for the PSU with no issues.
I'm also running a carnetix 2140 for usb hubs, which has recently crapped out...
However, _all_ the usb devices i listed are still functioning properly even without the 5v.
I don't see anywhere in DM to set the screen "Do not allow to bring out of hibernate".
My old jetway board only had 4 USB on the I/O panel. I ran 4 more from the jumpers on the MB and it always worked fine. Wondering If I should throw my powered USB hub in and just try that. What's the point of having 8 USB ports on the I/O if they have this problem ya know? Why do YOU run the hubs and not just use the supplied ports?
Another thought...I use an old SB Live sound card for the setup. Would this draw a lot of power away from the USB?
