Curious to a few things here...I had issue deciding on the proper chipset driver for this board. Are you using 3rd party or the one from the website, as well for video drivers?
I am really trying to narrow this down. Thanks for your help.

This is just to power your hubs and screen etc...? This is not a PSU but just a DC-DC regulator correct?
Yes, i use it to power the screen cleanly, and the hubs, as well as LEDS, and Fans for the amplifier. I also use it to prevent amp thump.
the SB Live is a PCMICIA card? It shouldn't draw alot of power from the usb. What PSU are you using?
The SB Live is a general PCI card on a PCI flexible riser.
I am using an AMD FX-62 dual core...It's all I had laying around. I know it might be overkill but I don't have any other CPU's laying around. I imagine this thing could be power hungry but by all calculations I have found it still shouldn't be pushing the Opus to it's limit. I haven't had any other glitches, problems, or anything other than this USB crap. I hadn't updated the bios yet because I read on another thread where someone was having the same problem as me and it didn't help. I will upgrade the bios tonight, and maybe try using a USB hub I have just to see if it makes any notable difference. Again, thank you for the help.
Well I am pulling my hair out. I cannot update the bios. I figured since there is no onboard floppy support and supposedly USB boot support I'd be ok with my Sandisk Flash drive. I have tried everything. The bios see's the USB drive but doesn't boot to it. I have tried making it bootable drive with HP utility etc...How the heck can I update this bios then>?
I used the WinFlash utility, to flash from within Windows.

Have you tried disabling the USB enhanced controller interface devices in Device Manager, and just going with USB 1.1, as I mentioned earlier? It worked for me...
So disable enhanced controllers in DM and revert to 1.1 with NO high speed enabled in bios?
