    Xenarc 701TSV 7" Touchscreen LCD

Incase you are wondering, this is not a mistake, it is 701TSV from xenarc.
I bought 2 of these bad boys, and i waited nearly a month to get them, but it was well worth the wait.
Other than the screen itself, i have no idea what kind of spec it was. I can't find any documentation on the model from xenarc or google.
First thing I did was open the box, and check the physical feature of the screen. The back casing is almost identical to the 702tsv, but the front looks a little bit different. Thickness wise, its about the same as the 702tsv, maybe a bit thicker. I looked at the cables, first thought: WOW! its HUGE! (more than twice the thickness of the older xenarc/lilliput cable.
Next, i plugged it in and plug it into the computer, the usual xenarc display. The moment i switched to the DVI input, BAM! it was super bright and crystal clear. So I've been playing around with it and here are my observations:
    - 4 inputs: DVI, VGA, 2xRCA
    - Screen is bright (probaly around 600NIT) (backlight adjustable.)
    - Sturdy construction like any other xenarc.
    - Cables are extremely well made.
    - Nice little remote
    - Power jack is the same, but it stays on much better than the 702TSV
    - Viewing angle is a lot better than my 702TSV or Lilliput 619
    - Touchscreen works for both win/mac/linux, reported as 4wire resistive, but extremely accurate.
    - Features from the 702TSV: auto-on, auto-switch works great.
    - Remote has PIP/POP feature, that does not seem to work.

PROS: Bright, Sturdy design, backlight adjustable, small remote.
CONS: The little notches at the back is not strong enough to hold the massive cables.

Umm, I am running at 1920x1200 on my desktop computer, and your pictures are still too big, even for that. You might want to downsize them to a reasonable size.

I might be slightly interested in the one you have FS. In your ad, you say it has the same specs as the 706tsa (which is 5 wire resistive), whereas this one is 4 wire. Also wondering if you have any idea what the rated operating temperature is and the type of backlight used? I think I am kind of weary to use ccfl backlights in the winter. I dont suppose you have a definitive answer on the specs?

Unfortunately no idea about the backlit, but i really think that it is, since its so bright and it was pretty cold tonight and i did not notice any difference in brightness.
Definitely a 4wire resistive touchscreen though, but 4wire resistive for a xenarc is much better than that of the lilliput.

    A Couple extra notes:
    - IR receiver is not soldered on, but wired, so it has a few inches to move around, which was extremely helpful for me.
    - In full sun, i can still read text very clearly.
    - LCD runs extremely cool, not hot like the older ones, not sure if its because of better design, or it might be LED backlit.

I emailed xenarc because I was interested in the specs of this monitor (since I am looking for a new monitor). It seems that even the sales guy is not aware of this monitor existing. He just told me maybe I confused it with the 701tsa, which is not the same thing.

Oh well. If you ever end up taking the monitor apart and can confirm that its LED backlight...let me know.

i have taken my apart, and i have no idea how to tell whether it is LED backlit or not.
Its also installed in my car, so if you like you're welcome to have a look.
