Thread: Micro review: Asrock ALiveNF7G-FullHD R3.0 with Athlon 4850e power consumption

I hooked up my Asrock ALiveNF7G-FullHD R3.0 mATX mainboard that usually runs my home server with an M2-ATX power supply. I measured and multiplied Volts and Amps on the input side of the M2-ATX to get power consumptions.

CPU Athlon 4850e
Disk Samsung 120 GB SATA
1 GB DDR2 RAM

Windows login screen: 16.2 W
Windows idle desktop: 16.6 W
CPU loaded with Cinebench 9.5 Rendering, 1CPU: 39.6 W
CPU loaded with Cinebench 9.5 Rendering, xCPU: 52.8 W

The Cinebench results were 360 and 640.

Pretty dang good!

I might use this mainboard in the car. It has four memory slots. I want to have 8 GB of RAM in my car to run photo stitching software while on the road.
