I would think 1200ma would be enough for that. most of the CCD cameras I have are around 800 to 900ma

The seller already said he'd send me a new one. This dude has very good customer service!!
I was just going to try the cars 12 volts, or my Opus. Probably the Opus. (lower amps)
Did u get it working in the house yet, lets worry about that first.
Of course I didn't get the identical camera, but similar.
I remember trying a 12VDC-500mA power supply that wouldn't work, then went to the 12V-1200mA.
I used it on my pc with a dazzle usb video box and FrodoCam.

If you're getting a new one, dont snip any cables or plugs. Go to the Shack and get connecters or barrel plugs and use them. In my opinion the center of the plug is positive, the outside is negative.

Anyone know the amps coming from a car? The car power would probably fry it right?
What about the amps coming from the Opus90W?

I dont know about the opus, but the car amps wouldnt fry it, what might fry it is the voltage coming from the car since it goes down to 10v and up to 14v or 15v most electronics rated for 12 volts dont like that.

I'll try using the Lilliput egg (regulator). My Lilli's powered by my Opus anyhow.

Definitely don't snip the wire on the new one. All the connections can be made up cleanly through the RCA connector. You should be able to get a safe regulated 12V from you PC power supply.
