I tried the most expensive one first. Linksys USBBT100 v2 (IIRC). would not auto connect.Originally Posted by acura cl
Then I tried the MSI adapter, had the same problem.
I contacted freedom input, they stated it was their problem and would fix it in the next release.
Me? I'll be looking for another BT keyboard solution.
Is this where the witty comment goes?97 Black pearl Mazda Miata MX-5 Carpc V2? maybee..
The build quality of this keyboard is crap. I lifted the mount on the back and it snapped right off. The batteries barely make contact in the housing. The documentation is for a different keyboard. 2/10 and that's for effort only.
Anyone tried this unit with Linux?
I recently bought this keyboard. It works fine, but there are a couple gotchas.
First, the instructions are very unclear about how to actually turn the keyboard on. There is an on/off switch on the top, but that doesn't actually turn the unit on or off the very first time you use it. You have to turn it on (I always have to guess whether the 1 or 0 is the on or off) and then hold down the link button for a LONG time. Then it comes to life. The instructions fail to mention this at all.
Second, the quality of the build is on the cheap side, but since I didn't pay very much for it, I'm not surprised. Let's just say this is an excellent example of Chinese engineering being sold on the world market with minimal repackaging and instructions!
Beyond that, once I linked up the keyboard with my Mac Mini, it worked great. Now, when I turn it on it links up quickly and works as advertised. I needed something small that would input to the mini wirelessly and this unit fits the bill. I'll find out eventually how durable it it, but so far so good.

I would like to know if the fascia plate is removable i.e. dash moldable . Can anyone give me a pic with the bezel removed?

My passkey did not come up on the screen like it was suppose to. Any ideas. My smartphone finds the keyboard, but ask for the passkey. Do you have it?
