Thread: Review: TView 8" LCD Widescreen Touch Screen 56k Beware

I have been trying to repair a mobile dvd/monitor combo from tview, and im just about to give up. Could you please either send me a pic of the contact page or give me thier phone number so I could try to obtain a new dvd driver that has no markings at all. I have been trying to find one one for a while, and no computer or tv repair place can help me and i would hate to trash a $800 unit cause it cant read a dvd. Thanks for any help.

I have a tview overhead mobile dvd/monitor that always reads no disc. I took it apart to clean it, and that didnt help, so I have been trying to contact tview to try and buy a new dvd drive for the unit, but I cant locate an address or number. hey they there guys i'm really keen on getting myself one of these tview widescreens in 8" of course I live in australia and am having difficulty finding one online that will sent to australia.. and could find any in ebay. Any suggestions?

PS Acura i can quite make out exactly your pictures with the tape mesurements, dont suppose you could post some measurements of the pannel with the thin inner bezel round it.

I bought it on ebay and I tried to search on ebay for current auctions but there doesn't seem to be any at this time. The Dynamix 8 lcd widescreen should be the same unit that is just rebranded.

So how has this screen been treating you? Im thinking of getting one in either this or the dynamix version. My main concern was the metal casing as it will be molded into my dash... This review has made me a little excited since you say the backing is metal but the front bezel (most important) is plastic... Is this the same with the dynamix? or is the dynamx all metal (aluminium)??

How is it in the sun? lots of glare?

The backing is metal but the front bezel is plastic, i don't have the dynamix, but by the pictures it seems like they are the same. I think with all screens, there is glare...I can't give you a comparsion. With iguidance and the sun you can see the screen very well, but you can make out the outline of the roads and the surrounding.

For ~$200USD, you can't go wrong with this 8in widescreen touchscreen monitor. I've very happy with it. It seems that the guy on ebay no longer sells it, but i found this link

hey acuratlfan, the 6th pic you have posted of the panel out of its outer casing. just wondering if the small thin bezel around it its plastic, if i get this model im thinking of mounting it on/in my dash with that inner bezel displayed.

Gosh carputer shopping would be so much easier if i could walk into a shop with these screens on display and pick them up look at them and place them against my dash.

which im assuming is the newer model which has auto on is the only Dynamix 8" with auto on. And the real question when gutted does the screen have its own small bezel like in pic number 6 of aucuratlfan's picture lineup.

idon't know if these are the measurements you want. the bezel is plastic
