I did some 2ch testing with my dad's Bose 901 coupled with a 150x2 Onkyo amp. The card managed to drive it very well. I barely hit 1/4 on the volume and it was loud. I did not notice any distortion or noise. Fancy audio effects were disabled as well.

It might not seem much at first, but depending how discerning your ears are you can really feel it. Certain tracks I test, especially guitars, it feels very lively and it is easy to pick out the instruments that "jump out" at you. Before, sounds from the speakers felt blended and a little vague. The vocals are very clear and feels very controlled.

In your case, simply swap out the cheapies and drop in the good stuff. The BB op amps hasn't given me any stability issues.

[EDIT] Looking back, I should've gone for the OPA2107 like the one you have. They are on order. I think I'm getting a tad obsessive over this. >.<

I have three different op amps in my possesion that I am still waiting for a time to try. OPA2227, OPA2228, and the OPA2107.
I found a very promising opamp reccently released from National:

Should be even better than opa2134 by BB (on paper ..)

Cool. When I get a chance I will have to check it out. I still haven;t even tried the others yet. I got some 2134's the other day too. It's goign to be at least a month before I can even get a chance to listen to these.

    Cool found it!

    Hey PPL,

Thanks for the Review, theres kinda nothing out in the www about this precious card... got a new SoundSystem and now i need a capable Soundcard for this....

as i think i don't need eax and stuff for gaming and dts +dd can be made by sw or optical out, i think this could be my solution.

I read here about that OpAmp stuff (never heard before & www gives no good explanation about why+how to use hifi-opamps...) and i think i can manage this (maybe s.o. can spare a minute to explain it to me?! )
I'm i HiFi modding newbe so.....

    BUT:

    -AD825
    -AD8610
    -AD8620
    -OPA627

    [...]

try the AD825 opamp, it's very good compared to default opamp OPA2134 (on prodigy 7.1 XT). but since AD825 is mono opamp, you will need 2 of them and use browndog adapter to fit to 8 DIP socket..

the prodigy 7.1 xt card is like this (default):
the OPA is for 1/2 channel
the JRC is for 7/8 (headphone) channel

the modded prodigy 7.1 xt card (AD825 at channel 1/2):

i already ordered AD8610, will be test it soon...

DURWOOD -> can you attach the prodiy 7.1 hifi control panel picture? the 7.1 XT control panel is like this:

kapt - this forum has a feature where it moderates all new posts from users with under 5 posts. This doesn't mean your post isn't there, it means it's waiting for a moderator/administrator to approve it.

I deleted the other 2 of your posts as they were duplicates.

Sure, just be patient. I am in the process of moving and I don't have internet at home until next weekend.
