COM-port problem solved - kind of...
The problem with the emulator not being able to restore form save state without turning off the serials. I've now uninstalled the 2.0 beta-release of the standalone emulator, and installed the 1.0 version. In this version it is not a problem, and the emulator starts and stops fine. Only problem is that this emulator is far slower, and it works slow even on my 1,6 GHz Centrinio-system....
In the v1.0 you are able to set som CPU-settings that I don't understand much about...maybe someone could help me out here?
And maybe the FAQ should be edited and posted as a new topic with this aditional information until a new release is put out.
Regarding COM port Access is Denied
The problem most users mention about restoring PPC state with assigned COM port is known Microsoft Device Emulator 2.0 Preview bug and it will be fixed on next release cycle. The only solution is to save state without port assigned and assign it only during running emulator throw preferencies. Everything else is working nice and much faster then with Emulator v1.0.
