    Allright, allright

    Hi everyone!

Sorry for the silence lately, as you can see on our website, we are having some difficulties BUT: the first pictures of the prototype housing are in AND a price! Have a look at our website for more details.

Ok, the price isn`t as low as we were hoping, but you will get a very good product for it.

As for selling these without housing: we have had some bad experiences with the HQCT-i radio (the one without housing) where people buy it and expect an end-user level device, no technical knowledge required.
Therefore we are planning on selling this unit only as an external device, really plug and play.
For larger orders (=>10 pcs), we can consider selling them without housing, please contact us if you are interested.

Now for the pictures (no print yet):

    Unhappy

Uhh yeah $230? I might have considered it for $100 but not $230...
And not offering it in a "no housing" option, now it's too big for my application and wallet.

Components for the board can't be more than $60 for production qty.
    you guys can do better.

I see 6 channels in the pic, but it only mentions up to 4 channels of output. Is there no subwoofer out?

If you can get it made for that price, I'll buy them off you in no time...the truth is that the components alone are far more than $60, and that doesn't account for development, assembly, testing etc...
If you are talking production qty, do you mean 1000 units? If you can put 60 grand on the table we might be able to build 1000, but do you want to take the risk for such a small market?
Dropping the housing would save us some $30, maybe we'll reconsider offering it without.

Please don't forget that 149 euro was 149 dollars not so long ago, and it's still 149 euro over here, we all need to live...

That's actually 4 channels of output (you can use them for sub or regular output, they are line-level) and 2 channels of line-input (for use with a HQCT, XM, HDRadio, Sirius, DAB, an iPod... etc).

The white molex connector has 4 speaker-level outputs and an amp-remote out (for switching your sub amp or other additional amps).

$149 EURO hurts our little pockets in Australia mate! and that's not even including TAX and how much will it cost to send to downunder??

I thought this was a Small and simple USB audio amp maybe u should add expensive too that title.

Still it looks like a great product and would be keen for some test results from people who grab the first 50

What tests have been done and any special software for it?

Honestly, 149 euro is not a bad price.

It has been well tested for what it is meant to do: playing music. It works very well and is a very solid unit.

The amplifier doesn't need any software, it's recognized by the OS (Win, Linux, Mac) as a USB audio device, like any set of USB speakers. Plug and play baby!

It's supposed to go where the HU goes, but we can deliver mounting brackets with it for people who want to mount it elsewhere.

Indeed, in europe we suffer a lot from the position of the USD for export, not only for the US but for other countries too...

Thanks for the reactions and thanks to the people who already ordered theirs!
