the OSK isn't something I need often, I had been editing some filenames and left it open as I didn't realize it interfered with other functions. Now that I know, I'll just be sure to close it after use.

Still haven't been able to get my hd radio working again.

I brought it inside to do testing on another pc. Connected it directly to serial with your cable. Opened your HD Radio PCR and i can hear the tuner click once and then click again. Does this everytime and pcr program can't find the tuner.

I also tested with the stock cable that came with the hd radio with the interface screen and it gets power and i can see an hd radio logo, but doesnt go any further.

Does this sound like somehting to do with my hd radio tuner? WHen i initially plug the tuner for power i can here it click, but everytime i use pcr i hear one click pause another click seems as its turning off right away.

I tested the voltage going into the tuner and the acc and constant are both 12v. So most likely its the tuner?

Its so weird, it was working fine for a year and now nothing..

    THanks,
    Blair

Thanks Mitchjs I got your wire last weekend and setup my HD radio. Man it is so nice cant believe I been using a crappy USB Silabs stick for so long. Anyways gooddeals18 has directron HD radios for 56 bucks and fast delivery. My only gripe is how to increase the audio output from the directron HD radio to my computer cause the volume from the HD radio and compared to my mp3's is about 50% difference.

    Sorry newb questions.

I was reading the thread about the HD Radio. Mitch you said that they do not make dmhd1000 and VISTEON HDZ300 is that true? Do you know why they do not anymore? If I wanted to hook this up to usb on my computer I would have to hook it up to a HDR-RS232 then a RS232-USB cable? There are no straight HDR-USB cables?

    Thank you

no i dont know why, prob lack of retail sales
its RS232, if u want to do USB, u will need a USB->Rs232 Converter
FTDI based is only what i recomend
    -Thanks
