Understood.
Regardless, I prefer the way it works at the moment (based on users' testimony). [IE: Turns on when in Radio mode, turns off only if another media type is invoked.]
As such, Ive posted this mod for controlling a power antenna:

Mine is working awesome with my ford OEM antenna setup!
I think I have nailed my presets not sticking to my embedded setup. I have the OS and RR running embedded (read only) on solid state media.
This tuner is by far the best am/fm/hd solution out there hands down.

ok ive got a question im hoping someone can answer for me before i jump on this purchase. i am using the kxproject drivers for my audigy sound card which use their own mixer as opposed to windows' mixer. what this means is that in RR (which interfaced with the windows mixer), i only have access to master, wave, and winamp volumes. i have no access to mic or line in volumes, nor do i have the ability to mute them from inside RR. so basically, in my case, those inputs would have to remain always on, and i would have to have some way of actually turning the radio transmission itself on/off instead of muting/unmuting its input. does the interface we are using support this, or does it only support muting and unmuting the radio? in other words, when you visit the radio screen, is it actually turning on the radio, or is the radio already on and we're just unmuting its input. please help! thanks.

yep, i am using the audigy zs that has slightly less functionality with the kx drivers than other cards, so i basically will have to leave it unmuted all the time unless i wanna open up the kx panel and do it each time i want to listen to radio which would be a PITA.
just to doubly make sure, you do *not* have control of muting/unmiting your line in through the windows mixer or in RR, correct? the radio is actually turning off when not used? if not, ill be outta luck, lol.
btw what model are u using?
Can someone please explain HD subchannels? Poking around, I'm not quite sure what they are and what they do and how they relate to the labels and stuff...
I'm talking about subchannel2 and subchannel count, etc...
TIA!
