Just got the tuner today. Will be ordering the cable in a few days. I do need to replace the inline fuse case, since it was broke......anyone else have this trouble?

And be careful that the 'inside' location isnt too well shielded from RF (ie: brick/steel walls or basement). Best would be outdoors (open sky/no mountain occlusion), but running of an AC powered PC using the +12v PC rail as power source. Use a know good normal FM radio as a signal reference I guess.

I have considered this possibility, but since the solution is to buy another tuner, I'll just keep working at this one for a while.

I resolved the low volume issues. It had someting to do with my kx driver. The line in showed "unmuted" but on a larf, I reinstalled the driver. When I muted and unmuted the line in, the peakers nearly blew my ears out. A bit of adjusting in the driver settings set everything fine volume wise. I still have poor reception, but I think I may end up chasing that to a grounding issue.
My adapter for the in glass antenna came in today, and I tried it out. The reception is better than the mast antenna, so there may be an issue there. I may look at adjusting the radio to the antenna attenuation with what looks like the antenna tuner in the hd unit. It's a pot that is visable with the cover off, at least, that's what I think it is. I'm still looking into that.............

Also, haven't gotten any AM stations yet. Not even "static-y" reception, just noise.

Keep in mind though, there's no HD broadcasts here right now either.

Yup. Solder joints let go when I turned the unit over in my hands. A quick solder job later, better than new.

I'm to the point where I'll be testing in car only. If it can't be made to work in the car, it's gone....................

Wish mine was that easy. The plastic housing was broke on mine. After doing a temp. tape job on it, tried it out in the house. Works great! Need to ground the RCA now to get rid of the slight buzzing noise.

They worked ok for mine but "RDSNAME" "RDSTEXT" seem to work better for me. They populate faster so I just used them. I don't display what is on the sub channel until I switch to it.

Also has anyone noticed that any time there is a sub channel the "HDSUBCOUNT" label displays 3 even if there are only 2 streams. I have yet to find a HD stream with 3 sub channels yet anytime im in HD it says "3"

I got my HD Radio yesterday and tried testing it out by connecting it to an old ATX power supply I had. I can't get it to fire up. I put the red and yellow to yellow wire on molex and black to black. I put my meter on the molex and it reads 11v and I also checked the HD radio power connector and its getting 11v going into the radio. I think ATX yellow puts out like 11.5v is this not enough power for the device? Anyways just wondering if I got a bad radio or not.

    Thanks
    JD
