Finally got around to installing the new DLL on the carPC. The loss of control issue seems to be solved. My GPS menu no longer kills communication. Long live DLL version 1.1.0.1!

What I still cannot solve is when I switch to my HD menu, RR always defaults to the lowest FM frequency (which is not a channel) Then I have to manually tune a station before I can start using it. If I go to mp3 menu say, it clicks off, then I go back to HD menu and its back at the 87.5 or whatever. Anyone else experience this?? It does not bother me that much because i'm getting such clean sound but was curious if this is similiar to your HD radio behavior?

I may install mitch's app on the carPC just to test it out.

I'm using void 3.2, and I don't have that problem.
What I'm running into, anytime I boot up or return to radio it's always tuned to 790AM.
No matter what station or menu I left it on.
My GPS works fine...but for some reason I did have a comm port conflict at one point.
And a few other skin related issues...but since this is still evolving, I can live with it.
Besides, after not having a radio after sooo many years!

    Hey Mitch,

I just got the cable today - thanks for the fast service (I wish RossBee was as fast with my other Visteon).

I have a question regarding the software -- What does the "power" button in the upper right corner actually power on or off. It doesn't turn off the tuner. It seems more like an advanced "mute" button (i.e. it turns off the sound AND display, whereas the mute button only kills the sound).

    Otherwise, it works beautifully!

    Thanks....
    Mark

Very nice!! I was able to get everything hooked up and working pretty easily.

I do have some questions. I looked through the Road Runner docs and on the board and can't find any way to do the following.

    1. Is there a way to direct tune to an HD Sub Channel using Road Runner? With the head unit that came with the visteon I can get a few HD stations that I can't get through the HD Radio PCR or through the Road Runner interface to the HD Radio Dll for some reason. It doesn't even show the channels as being HD. I can direct tune to HD Sub Channels using the original head unit.

    2. Is there a way to save HD Sub Channels so you can select them as a preset? This would be tied to direct tuning HD Sub Channels in question #1.

    Thanks.

mstaedt, are we talking about HDRadioPCR? that application, the X in the upper right, exits the application, ALSO powering off the tuner, u should hear it click off

u cant direct tune sub channels... you always have to tune to the base freq, the tuner defaults in analog, and when HD is presented in the transmission... the it transmits us the info about the SUB channels, then and ONLY then you can select a SUB channel
