I was watching them all day yesterday, there was like 20 of them ending within a 4 hour time gap and all of them were about 15 bux. I actually bid on 5 different auctions but looks like I got the luck of the draw on that one. Its all good, just dedicate a few hours to some ebay sniping and you'll get one really cheap also.
Now just need china to re-open so mitch can get the cables back in stock!

Just found this thread, perfect soluton for me, especially in the NY/NJ metro area. We have lots of HD channels!
I just won a DHD1000 on e-bay, paid a hair too much vs the Visteon ones. Basically, cus I wanted the black controller (goes with the interior of the new Caddy) just in case I decided to use it stand alone in the future, I had $20 extra dollars and also...well...cus my luck sucks! LOL

Question, can I use a good USB sound card as the in? I got my ins and outs tied up. Sound quality OK that way?

i would love USB, BUT i have a major problem i cant over come... its called enclosure
I would love to do overmolds... know anyone in the business?
i always have great ideas, that get squashed because i cant come up with an enclosure
this one really needs overmold
and price, a usb design would 2x the price (a usb to rs232 are < $20 now)
so it made sense to stick to rs232 at this point...

why are people so against the rs232? it works great for me!
Perhaps not as convenient as USB but they are solid as can be with the serial interface.
My 2nd tuner will be arriving Monday, ill be placing an order for another cable very soon mitch, thank you for keeping up with the demand
You should invest in a carPC with all the side coin you are making from peddling these cables
