doesnt MEAN they LET you control it, NO where did i mention the USER can control it, you cant even on my RR, unless its really needed, and i make it a "rr.ini" setting...
now ur thinking in 2D, people here are laughing their *** off...
i would consider giving you a demo program, with a full slider, and you can SET any level you want. you need to assume, that if i can design a cable and code a control class to control the HD Radio, when i say i can control its AUDIO LEVEL. then thats EXACTLY what can be done!

RIGHT THERE is where you said it. Now we change our mind? I have a better idea. My system works fine as it is. I don't need your help or your program. The cable is enough. And your customer service pretty much seals the deal I won't be buying anything ELSE from you. Laugh all you want at that. You just couldn't leave it alone. Said it wasn't a problem, but you had to keep fighting and keep fighting and then insult.
Edit: I don't get it.....you had an exceptionally happy customer that not only would buy from you again, but would tell their friends and anyone else about your products. But you felt soooooo strongly that you had to be right, you destroyed and future income from me or anyone I know. WHY?? Loaded your roadrunner, and it is doing something, but guess what, power down and power back up? Back to square 1. So it isn't practical! I don't use RR all the time, so next bootup, I'm loud again.
So here is where we are. You worked so hard to start a fight you have lost a customer, probably lost anyone reading your tirade, you haven't helped me a bit, I've now lost all my presets, have to reload my original setup, then modify everything that I have done since my backup. Next time you might want to follow the addage "the customer is always right, even when he is wrong". You may have been right, I don't know. I can't tell what it's changing, but the bottom line is I can't use it. So ALL of this was for what? Nothing......LESS than nothing as it effects YOUR income.
Great job! You sure you don't work for MP3Car?
My opinion is my own.
I think this business/support relationship is over. Good luck.
And just a clue here......you said OVER AND OVER you could control the HD audio 100% in your RR. We all can do that. Not until post #712 did you actually say you were controlling the "puts out" (I'm guessing english isn't #1 language?) of the Visteon unit. So go ahead and get upset, mad, laugh, do whatever, but see how much more $$$ you get from me or anyone I know. Some day you folks are going to realize this isn't a hobby anymore.....it's business. You want a "hobby" income? then keep doing things this way.
My opinion is my own.
WOW, i am so anal about heat. Since i run my A/C all the time, mine runs at 88F. Under heavy load 94F. The graphics core actually runs hotter, about 92F and 96F under heavy load, but that with alot of cooling.
Mitch;
Can you explain in more detail what the line-in device you are making will do? How will it work?

You sure those are F numbers and not C??? WOW! That's really cold. Mine doesn't run that cold when it's off. lol
205 worries me a little bit. Also smells up the car. So I took the door off the compartment and now get around 135F pretty much all the time. Since I went with the C137 Casetronic case, I am seriously thinking of moving the whole thing under the passenger seat. Pretty sure if I cut a little bit of the carpet, it would fit nicely!
My opinion is my own.
baby, the bottom line is im right, and you we're too stubbern to listen to me, and you think you know more then I about the HD radio tuner, and i know little about carpcs. When you complained that tha AUDIO level was too high on HD Radio, i knew exactly what you problem was
in POST 669 "2. Is there a way to turn down the volume out of the Visteon HU? I have to turn my line-in2 port down to "1 click" (that's 1 tick mark above mute) in order to make it tolerable. Bet that isn't a question people ask a lot. How to turn something DOWN. "
and i tried to help you, I ASKED YOU DIRECT QUESTIONS, THAT YOU AVOIDED!!! (aka failed to answer)
and you kept insisting im wrong, you should have said... "you can control the output level of the visteon?, is there a way i can set it lower"
such simple thing man...
Im sure NO one argees with you here...
now i was NEVER at any point, gonna give up on you, but if you want to be a baby about it.. its ok with me
and PS my build of RR doesnt TOUCH presets... it works just like any offical build based on 11/2/07 code
the skin controls and maintains the HD radio presets
also know the difference between OUTPUT and INPUT
the visteon has a OUTPUT, the pc has INPUT(s)
back a bit i said:
"AGAIN, I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, I HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THE PREAMP VOLUME LEVEL COMING OUT OF THE VISTEON HDZ300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
coming out referres to the OUTPUT of the VISTEON
i was in a ****y mood, but i just couldnt believe anyone would think about arguing me... not without asking key questions
then you argue
oh and btw, the offical release of RR, HD level is too high, its actually distorted!
mitch

i think its obvious that there was a communication issue. According to what i can tell mitch has what daniel wants (and has had it some high number of posts ago). So then will you be implementing an rr.ini option to control the level of the visteon? I assume the directed unit has the same control since all signs point to them being the same electronics in a different box.
