of course!
works like it should... if RR is running, HD Radio is ON...
u know, i wouldnt use the (HD Radio tuner box mod) to do any relay for my power antenna.... i would have the PC tell when the Antenna should be UP
got a LPT port? could use that to control antenna and other things got 8 pins there

The LPT thing would be ok too I guess. I dont see a problem with Hd Radio Mod, as when the radio is off you dont need the antenna, and for that savings of 1-2 seconds where the HD Radio is ON (from RR) yet the antenna is extending... I will still get static till the antenna is extended. so it defeats the purpose (for me) of that instant switch radio version you wrote.
yea, ur right, might as well keep the antenna up
not to mention, cars dont come with moving antennas anymore
they fixed/electronic
which is a whole nother issue

hi all,
so i decided to tackle my interference issues again after having given up for a while.
testing, playing, testing, playing, and finally a solution (though, one that has been done before).
i finally went to the extreme and removed the power supply (m2-atx) from the case which i had sitting open-faced under my back bench seats. put the power supply in its own metal box (an aluminum project box found at the local parts shop), and BAM. no more interference.
anyone trying to chase down noise... just know that i can add my name to the list of people who solved theirs by sealing up their s***. it really does work!
just a note for all
peace, love, and hdradio![]()
Now that I have everything basically set up the way I want and MOST problems ironed out, now to tackle the small problems.
Reception. I have the Visteon HDZ300 plugged into my factory antenna and the reception is no where near as good as my factory or my Alpine HU was. Any ideas?
Also, I was thinking of trying this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eOVvK9o...px?i=12044UA60 . Will this help at all?
With the head unit removed (?), if you have a powered antenna, make sure it is getting voltage. If the head unit powered it, it won't (blue wire). I thought I had broken my antenna. When I found that, the Visteon blew the factory HU out of the water on reception.
My opinion is my own.
NO SIGNAL AMPLIFIERS, they waste of money!
