Yes, some of those scan converters implement doublescan (overscan is related just to scaling). I'm not ready to add 50-100 GBP to the price of my unit. Well, it might be cheaper if I repeat the circuit on my board, but 150 Euro will still be unreachable.

As of now, I'm looking for USB-to-VGA chip with doublescan capability, which would eliminate LOTS of analog circuitry and expensive frame buffer thingies.

shoud I wait for this for my current carpc build ? (couple months)

Hi,

another solution can be the Alpine nve-m300p this is a kind of linux navigation pc.

with the correct software you can connect to another pc via VNC or other remote software or use this pc direct for your linux software.

Old thread, but very interested to see any progress. I have a DVA-9965 and TME-740BT that I would love to interface with a carPC/laptop.

Would this help with the display?
