contaygious, it may very well be that your V1 is incompatible.

Is there a way to completely "hide" the valetine and not loose front and rear detection? I'd like to integrate it with my (to be) in car PC but I don't want anything visible...

I'm considering placing the V1 concealed over the sunvisor, lowering this a bit to leave the V1 facing the upper-left corner of the windshield. I seriouly doubt I will get any reception from the rear area but I'm willing to sacrifice it for a discreet, clean installation. Cables for power supply and interfacing with my car-pc will run along the windshield frame, down to the glovebox.... anyway I have to get my interface cable and my V1 first !!!

    consealed V1

For those of you searching for consealed V1 installation I have built an aluminum case for the V1 as you can see here.

Regading using the V1 to mute the audio system I came up with a small adaptor that does the job very well.

The reason I ask is because that box is huge!

The V1 is smaller from my guess and that really doesnt make it concealed unless its mouunted under dash, but whats the point of a underdash mount as that makes for a dangerous situation because of taking your eyes off the road

    box

The box should be mounte in the front bumper and not under dash.
the box is only bigger by 1 cm width and height.
Inside the car you should use the display module so no need to takes eyes of road.
