Nice software, but it doesn't track me anymore. It was working fine, then just like that, it stopped working. It will start up google earth fine, acquire the signal, but thats it. Any suggestions?
Hi Dave,
First off, thanks for the awesome software and the time you spend supporting it. I'm using it (well testing it) in a public safety installation (in 9-1-1 ambulances) and so far it's great.
The only snag I've run into is the inability to turn off auto-tilt. When I unselect the Tilt button (the other two are depressed and the "auto" checkbox is checked) it still insists on tilting down to about a 45 degree angle once the vehicle moves. Most of the time this is fine, but when we're trying to find a particular street, it's much easier to read at a 0 degree angle.
Any ideas would be great...I'm probably missing something obvious.
Thanks again,
Brian

More information about your setup would be helpful. My first thought would be to make sure in that in your "Places" section of the sidebar, that Goops is checked and green. If it is red, then for some reason Goops is not talking to GE.
I've had problems with older versions of Goops where GE stops following the goops icon and track, but I can usually fix it by turning zoom on and off or restarting goops while GE is still active.
Well I know if I press the save button, then GE will automatically zoom right in to my position, but it won't track my movements. I'll double check your suggestions, but I can't understand what happened because I didn't make any changes from when it worked to when it stopped.
@Queenambeach: I had the exact same problem. Goops knew where I was but did not track me for some reason. I uninstalled and re-installed the latest GE and ALL worked fine. if you have the patience try that.
P.S. did you try any older versions of of Goops? I had the problem with the last but 1.8 actually worked. clean installing GE fixed everything!
Will never be DONE! There is always something to add
VIA EPIA SP13000,1GB DDR,80Gb 2.5” SATA HDD,8" Xenarc LCD with t/s,Linksys Bluetooth,Logitech wireless trackball,OBDII,RearView wide angle cam,XM radio,2 Wifi external antennas, Frodo,Navivoice
Yea, I had an older version of Goops, I'll try rechecking my setting and if nothing works, then I guess I'll do a reinstall. Man if the copilot program could use google maps, I would have the ULTIMATE navigation. lol
Thanks Dave. Holding it right before zero tilt seems to work fine.
