Ok, Ill try that one; Im just using the one that w3b includes in his program.
I didnt' figure to change the ports...
THANKS!
It sounds to me like you're having a port conflict. What version of Xport are you using? If it doesn't have a scan button on it it's not the newest version. I have attached the newest version. Try using this one and hit scan before you set the ports so it refreshes the available ports. Maybe you ought to use a higher number for Webtracker (I'm using 12). As I said earlier, Xport has been rock solid for me once I've set the ports correctly so there must be something else going on.

By the way, I'm using serial port COM2, Do I need to setup iGuidance to THAT COM port or use two different ports for iGuidance and Webtrack ??
Like I had it, incoming COM2 , outgoing COM5 and COM6 ... Is that correct?

You 'should' be good like that. My setup has incoming GPS at COM8 and xport splits that to COM13, 14, 15, 16, 17![]()
iGuidance uses 14, W3bTrack 16.. a few other things running off the others...
Com2... isn't that a system com port though? usually com1 is your 'real' serial port.. com2 another system com port... (though I've been going a while without sleep.. so I could be off.... )
Open iGuidance outside of RR. Go to tools/GPS Options/autodetect. After a minute or so it will tell you what com port iGuidance is using. That's the port your GPS receiver is using and should be the port set as input in Xport. Exit iG. Now in Xport set the input port to the port determined above. In Xport hit scan. Then pick three available com ports in the output section. Make a note of the three outputs you have chosen. The first output port will be for iG, the second will be for RR and the last will be for Webtracker. Hit enable in Xport.
Open iGuidance outside of RR. Go to tools/GPS Options/com port and select the first output port selected in Xport per the above. Exit iGuidance. Go into RRConfig and in the GPS section put the number of the second output port in Xport per above. Save config. Finally, go to Webtracker and put the last output port in Xport per above. Save config and exit Webtracker. All should now work.
OK...
W3B, my system has 2 serial comp ports
KB, thanx for the info... Ill do as told..

Just a reminder to make sure xport is not running when you have iGuidance auto detect the com port per above.
nevermind...i got it to work.
hey guys, what's the highest upload/save frequency you use? meaning most spaced out. Like every hour or whatever...
