    for the error, what comm port is your gps coming in on? are you using a splitter? if so, what are your output ports?

    to stop the auto upload/connect to internet, set track=0

    I'm using xport3 and have been for some time, I have it set up as follows.
    com3=input

    com6=W3bTracker
    com7=Iguidance
    com8=Roadrunner
    com9=GATSOhunter

    inav, rr and gatsohunter is working just fine...

    to stop the auto upload/connect to internet, set track=0
    ok thanks, I thought it would stop tracking totally then and not even create a log file!

    well if your settings are like you have them posted a few back and here, you need to change your comport in the ini file to 6... that error is because it's not getting a valid connection to a gps com port.

    the logging should work so long as savetxt=1

    //I'm fixing lots of existing issues with the new version, like the comport errors, if it's invalid, it tells you and makes you select a valid one, but it'll be a lil bit longer before I release it cuz I'm workinga few other things out w/ it.

    now off to bed I go.. lol working tonight.. fun fun... later....

    W3bMa5t3r - Some further thoughts for functions when its at a skining point...

    Upload on Upload off ( ie you want to pause sending the logs up )

    And three diffrent tracking modes...

    On - Tracking as is now - full on tracking / loging etc
    Private - Full tracking but all tracked logs are kept private and not viewable by any one else at all
    Off - Off

    You could expand if you really wanted to too Groups as well where tracking for only certain groups ( ie friends etc ) is active but not viewable by any one else...

    Also - is it possible for this app to out put the date such as location / speed etc to Roadrunner ? This way Skins can be updated if your not using say Freedrive and progs like RRGastoHunter can grap their data from RR rather than yet another app ?

    Hi again!
    I changed the ports between those 2 posts so it's using it's own but I still got the error...

    I shut down all the other apps that used xport and changed the tracker software to use RR's port and then I just get the $time error, any clue what might be the problem giving me that... the error message is true jibberish for me...

    yeah the $time error code is a coding mistake on my part. I've made lots of'm as this is my first 'real' program lol. The new version should resolve most of these issues.

    a side note, someone from Thailand is trying to locate my w3btrack/w3btracker source code and/or hack it (it's not out there folks). all I can say is WOW! I'm honored lol. though honestly... if you need MY code to make an application like this, you must be reallllly bad off. You 'might' want to see the paragraph above... (though what I don't get, is if you can work with source code... you should be more than capable to build your own... )

    W3bMa5t3r - Another thought.... if you want to log acuratly you need an acurate time on the PC.

    Why not auto set the time on the PC by using the signal from the sats to make sure its bang on ?

    Actually the time used, is pulled from the sats, but the error above is from a lack of error checking on my part... lol. When it's parsing the gps sentence for the UTC time info, if it's not there it 'sometimes' dies... instead of just setting a null time and continuing on. This usually happens when the gps receiver hasn't received a good lock yet. This will be fixed in the next version. I'm making sure I've got error checking on all I can... hopefully I don't miss anything, but if I do I know you all will let me know

    Cheers

    Oh and does anyone know of some GOOD FREE gps data simulators? There's only so much I can do in a 'secured' enviroment, since I can't pull signals and all lol. The one simulator I've been trying to use doesn't seem to send to a readable port... even Xport doesn't see it.

    /if not I'll be off tomorrow so I can pull some signals... lol
