If the dark gray outlines/borders on the website are a bit much for you, check out your account settings for a few options. These will be expanding over time.

I was able to get my points to show up. Only issues now are:

    1. The client doesn't show the number of sats even though RR shows that I'm locked onto 8+.

    2. The client doesn't do an upload immediately, but waits for the specified interval before doing the first upload.

Feature Request: I don't know if this would be easy or even possible, but how about numbering the points in chronological order so one can easily track the route sequence? It would be ideal if the numbers appeared above the points on the map, but if they appeared in the popup only that would be helpful also.

Changed part of the GPS Sentence recognition function. I'm "hoping" this helps with the guys that have working gps data for other programs but W3bTracker just sits there. It shouldn't affect the guys that the program is already working for.

As Always, Check the config.ini file.

    Let me know...
nice, this seems to have fixed my issue with it not getting data from the GPS... and nice timing... went back home again (1000km/12˝hr) today and recorded most of it...
    Uploaded it and got some
    Code:
    Line Inserted.
    Error inserting Line.
    Line Inserted.
    Error inserting Line.
    Line Inserted.
    Error inserting Line.
first but after that most of it got "inserted" and it deleted the .txt file... only thing is that I don't have any dates on "my" page and no points are showing up...

btw, nice job with the themes!

How much data does this ping? I'd like to use my Blackberry as a modem on an upcoming cross country trip but I only have a 5 megabyte plan per month for data.

Upped a new version. It should help with the sat number (or provide a solution... :-\ ), and the occasional erroneous gps data sentences. The upload on start is and has been implemented, but was only on program start. It will now reset that variable if you Stop LiveGPSTracking, so that the next time you Start LiveGPSTracking, it will upload on start.

For incremental numbered points on the map, or at least start and finish points, I'll see what I can do.

@ Maheriano, you can use this client in the offline tracking/logging mode and just upload the points (GPSTrackingLog.txt) to the website later on once you have a more suitable data connection if you are worried about going over on your BB's data plan.

@ Naesstrom, you have a PM

Damned m8, you're on fire, or atleast your fingers must be... coding that fast

The upload worked great right now... I should have set the time between tracking a bit further apart though... 2600+ points in one track didn't work all that good... think I'll go in and delete some of them so I can see the entire trip...

going to try the new version today!

lol naa not so much. Most of the coding is done, just tweaking it so it provides better results now. Dang 2600+ points?? lol yeahh I think google's max for api maps is 1000 points. Glad it's working for you though

I'd like my family to be able to follow me real time though.

Understandable. Well, the amount of data used would be determined by the interval used, which is adjustable from 15 seconds to 1 Hour.

I'm not 100% on this, but for each interval, each upload/submission is ~ 315-630 bytes, each ping ~42 bytes.

Hope that helps. Some of the other guys might be able to tell you how much data they actually use for the intervals they use...
