I'm also getting an .ocx error. I don't think it's the same one as Naesstrom though, but I'll check it when I get in the car.

    EDIT: Mine is Comdlg32.ocx.

Hey guys, go ahead and download the W3bTracker.zip again. The package is now an installer that will install and register the OCX files if needed. Let me know if there are any other files it calls for.

    Cheers

Hey ya'... just an FYI, when I try to run the app (and this happened before the installer as well) I get a "Run Time Error 8002 / Invalid port number" which is coming from the default port in the INI being "15". Setting that to "1", lets the app come up so you can configure it.

Past that... I gotta find my good data cable for the i455 so that I get 'net access configured in the car and try this.

    Thanks!

oop.. a nitpick on the app..

The Tab Order is off for the Settings screen. Right now it's going Save & Exit, Cancel and Exit, Change COMM, Tracking Server, User ID, Username, COMM port settings.

The main page is kinda' hosed as well.

Crap... sorry, a couple of more...

    • If you "Save & Exit" from the settings screen without a COMM port picked, you'll get a "Run Time Error 13 / Type mismatch error".

    • Any time you try to Save the config, the INI file gets a bit hosed. It looks like you may have the section name and the data buffer in WritePrivateProfileString() (and Int) defined with a trailing "\n". Reason being is that you end up with a 2nd set of options in a section called "[section]\n" and each data element has an extra trailing "\n". e.g.:

    • The above could also be why the app doesn't read the defined PORT from the config file on load. The COMM list box defaults to NIL.

nice with the installer, no ocx problems this time but after running it for a little bit of time I get a runtime error '6' overflow message. tried it both in online and offline tracking but stille the same error!

like the new look though, nice work!

    Just Starting But Looks Good!

I loaded the latest version and it had an ocx error so I loaded the previous version and ran the ocx fix the the new version started working other than I am also having the runtime 6 error overflow like the other 2 posts! Also is there a way to have the webserver site update automaticly at intervals so that say at 10 points it would follow you on the map with out having to set points and date manualy each time? also every time it refreshes when using set points and date it resets the zoom and returns to map mode no mater what you have the setting set to. A setup setting for display mode and default zoom would be nice? I like what you are doing and your maps are grate better than deloreme whos maps you pay somuch for and are sooo out of date!

any news on this one, guessing that night shift is taking some energy!

guessing it would be pretty hard making that "distribute chosen points after track" thing I was talking about earlier since it never got a reaction...
but might I ad one more suggestion, it's very nice that the app is skinnable, but since "most" people seem to be running RR as their frontend would it be possible in some future version to get it to send some custom labels to RR...
I'm working on a skin that only has a rather small LCD display thingy for the info and it's impossible to get it to embed nicely in that one!
