Wondering if maybe a button could be assigned to allow you to hold and move the keyboard? Basically the problem is I like to be able to move the keyboard, but if it is turned on while driving, when you are trying to type the keyboard moves all over the place...

Alot of the times when I click on the VirtualKeyboard it actually takes focus away from where I am trying to type, which makes it not work... I am not sure why and when it does it.. Just a lot of the times I can't make it work and I have to load the Microsoft OSK, and it always works.. It looks like when you click on it, it is taking focus, when it should never have focus... I use to only use the keyboard inside of VOICES and never noticed it, but just recently started using it as my windows keyboard and notice this..

your keyboard looks great.. i have a few ideas though ;-)

would it be possible to show the keyboard whenever a text-box is being clicked? (i.e. whenever the mouse pointer changes to the text-input style pointer, show the keyboard... this should then result in the keyboard being displayed whenever a textbox is klicked (since on a touchscreen you can't just move the mouse around without clicking)

since most of the screens this software is being used on are very small, we need to display the keyboard almost screen filling to enter something. this again prevents us from seing what is beint typed... what about something similar to the click-n-type buffer? this way, your osk could be used full screen and as soon as a special button is hit, it would copy the text entered into the texfield which was selected when the osk was started.

maybe you know the osk used in travelbook. there they have exacutally this functionality (both of the above) .. i know that it is much harder to implement especially the launch part if you have to controll any kind of application rather than just your own..
the look of what i mean could also be compared to the MC osk used in the radio.

    what do you think?
    cheers

[EDIT]: the buffer might btw solve the problem with navigon too
