New version almost done but am not sure how the interface for fav location should be like. The code is ready but have to think of the interface. Any Ideas ?

My thoughts are that when selecting a destination you should be able to choose from:

1) Fav location / previous destinations
2) Street / Place (e.g. select an address)
3) Places of interest (Select a category like Hotels, Restaurants, etc.)

- 1) Would then give you the option of selecting from
* Previous destination
* Address book (from Outlook)
- 2) Would give you the screen that we have at the moment for selecting an address.
- 3) Would give you a list of categories from teh MapPoint databases
After selecting a Category, you can then provide a list of the nearest to the current position

All the info above is based upon the Megallan system that is used in Hertz Rental cars. It's a great system and works really well! Selecting step by step enables easy progress through selecting your destination, almost like a Wizard.

I cannot tell you out of my head what the problem could be rite now.But the following could be the reason.
Do you have mappoint 2002 or higher installed on you PC ?
Do you have all the required dll's for the application in the application directory ?
Do you have MS SAPI 5.0 or greater installed ?

BTW which OS are you using ?
