I tried out the Beta 2.0 Voices Navagation.

I am very happy about the TTS abbreiviations.

I did have some problems. I unzipped all of the files over the old ones from the Beta 1 and ran the program as a standalone. I then tested entered a route and off I went. I recieved 2 crashes by the time I got from work to home (4 miles). There was no specific error message... just the windows generic "do you want to send blah blah blah"

I suspected that it might be becasue I copied over the old files so i started fresh and havn't had a chance to test. I will keep posted

Tried out the beta version on my home pc (no GPS attached) and got a few errors.

Winamp voice instructions for Volume Up, Volume Down and Toggle Mute do not appear to work with Winamp 2.91 or 5.03. Really impressed with the other winamp commands.

Clicking on the 'Dim Screen' button causes an error 'Invalid Pointer'

Will try it out in the car later today.

Will there be any options to add your own voice commands, or to change the 'Computer' prompt which puts it into listening mode to another word?

1) VolumeUP,down and Mute is supposed to control the master volume setting of the sound card.
2) Will take a look at Dim Screen in the evening . I think I just left some test code there.
3) yes you can change the word "computer" in the VOICES.XML to any word of your choice. There isn't an option to add voice commands.

Also it noticed to me that the Virtualkeybord is several times started. If VOICES is started thus more frequently, terminated, start, terminated, start ... there is several keyboard instances.

I take everything back and maintain the opposite! I had the wrong version... The V 1.0.0.4 will be function well!

this error is due to some test code I put there. Will upload a quick fix in few minutes

I got the error inthe middle of driving. I had a rout in there and it was giving me directions. It crashed at no significant time. THen i loaded it back up (immediatly after the crash) and then it crashed again a few minutes later at no significant action (i.e. i wasn't pushing any buttons and entering any text or switching any menus)

I will try it at lunch today (shortly) and respond with an aditional reply
