I am not a DB expert.

    I want fast and realiabilty

So if that means SQL thats what it means.

What will that mean for the end user. What do I have to install on my end. Will there be problems distributing it in Satish's software?

Nope, you can include an engine with the software...that means it installs with voices.

It WILL make the install files larger, but that said...it WILL be faster (much faster) and more reliable.

Understand I correctly: SQL for a CAR-PC Software?!
Sorry, this ist most overkill!!! Whis CAR-PC HW and OS will be bear?
NO, i will not install a SQL, or MSDN Databas ONLY for a DB for some Musicfiles ....
Slow down Guys! Winamp works very fine without SQL, MS-Mediaplayer also.
Mediacar works very fine with Winamp, also no SQL ...
    Do not exaggerate please

Note: WIN TV is not equal to WIN TV - there are PCI and USB!
RADIATOR does definitv not to WIN TV FM USB support.
Plugins aviable for Hauppauge WinTV Primio and Hauppauge WinTV (PCI or USB ?) ...
but i can not find WIN TV FM USB !
And Radiator also do not work with my WIN TV FM USB.

Like in my preveous post I thought SQL was definitly overkill....but

No you are wrong. Windamp and WMP don't handle playlists fine.

I want to be able to say Play all of the songs i havent heard in the last 2 months that have a 5 star rating without selecting each one

Granularity is the key here. Listining to music is very speratic and mainly depends on the mood which changes very quickly.

So with all that being said database/XML whatever it is we just need better search and smarter capabilities
