OK, I know you've been busy with work Satish, but hopefully this will spur you on with the VOICES development...

VOICES will be featured heavily in this month's (on sale this thursday) Custom PC magazine (www.custompc.co.uk) in the UK

    Playlist Ideas and others!

    Satish

Good to hear its coming on....are you able to do map rotation in the nav? (as per autotouch)

For the playlist screen lets say

    Change/new (clears and adds new)
    Add (adds to current)
Random (adds random amount of songs from random places)
Entire List Button (only small)(maybe not)
    Complete audio controls
    Vis button
MAybe a simple embedded vis....(vu or spectrum etc....)
MAybe a nav button to save going through all menus to get to nav? (easy switch between)
    mixer

err i'm still thinking hope this is what you meant....just a few of my ideas there sorry if its crap!

With the shffle feature...can you do it so it doesnt change the order shown but just plays in a different order? Like latest winamp playlist stays in order but songs played are random?

Cant wait for this to release the preview is great this is going to be amazing!

    Cheers

    Dan

SA: good to hear from you once again! We all thought this project may have died!

    Suggestions: (not specific to mp3)

    GPS:
    - Audio controls within GPS
    - Can we up the volume in voice responses? i find if the volume is low i can't hear the prompts.

    MP3
    - Shuffle i like how it currently is (that way you can see whats queued up next)
    - wma support
    - maybe a display of the cd cover while cd is being played?
    - definately like the switch to GPS button (maybe an overall nav interface which remains the same no matter what screen you are in)

    General:
    - Can we have 3 brightness options? (Bright, Normal, Dim (for night) not sure if this is possible.

Sat are you able to update us on what is coming in the next release? (ie sync/video etc)

Great to hear from you again! tnx for your development!

Yo guys... welcome back after the summer absense... let's ramp this up for the winter.

Satish: Just remember, lots of releases each with a few extra bits of functionality is better than two big releases! I'm going to start working on the voices website soon to make it a bit more professional looking. Anyone got any suggestions as to it's content?

Edit: The new version of streets and trips includes rotating maps. Therefore, I can only assume that the next version of mappoint (2005) will also include such functionality.

    Thanks

    Rotating maps

    Skippy

Autotouch uses mappoint....and can rotate the maps already during navigation?

I dont know hows it done but Gremlin is very helpful maybe he can pass on his secrets!

ryguy: Cant you already alter the vol of prompts?

    Good work guys!

Chilli: thanks for the info. Map rotating would be useful. We would need some point of reference, E.g. a compass type North pointer as it would have to be bassed on heading.
