This is a quick update of what I am presently working on
1) MP3 - Done
2) PlayList - Done
3) Radio - Done
4) Mixer - Done
4 GPS (Almost done)
For this version PlayList and Mixer does not have voice support
The UI for GPS has changed a little . The GPS Control Image is replaced with GPSMainMenu and each button except for Brightness will load the dialog .
@anitmatter how do you think the Route options dialog should look like
the Options in this dialog are
1) ETA
2) Distance Remaining
3) Reroute
4) shortest/quickest/preffered route.
@ozoffi. Presently working on route import.

okay
1) ETA
2) Distance Remaining
3) Reroute
4) shortest/quickest/preffered route.
Is the ETA just a button that if you push will show you how long you have until you get to the destination (basically you push the button and it pops up a number)?
Is Distance remaining the same sort of button?
I think that for number 4 it should have all three buttons lined up next to eachother and you can only select one at a time. When you push 1 button the other two pop up.
Can't wait for the next version
I do have a couple of questions on how you are handleing playlists (database or non database?)
Cheers and good work

Satish, what radio are you supporting?
Craig
Audi S8 supercar
Modded Xbox 400GB HD
Rear 7" screen & navplus
Toyota Hiace Van
Shuttle PIII 866 256Mb 10GB OPUS powered
MediaCar & Mappoint 2004
Custom fit 7" TFT VGA TSK
I think we really need to make it database dependant. Databases are useful for many things one being speed. HOWEVER, I do not think we should run it off an access database as media engine does. It is slow and cumbersome. I say a ms sql engine?
What do you guys think?
Asus Pundit Barebones PC
7" Lilliput LCD
P4 2.8ghz 512mb 120gb
Windows XP Pro, VOICES
Sony Xplode 10in Sub, Rockford 600w amp
Pioneer 6x9's and 4x6's, Kenwood 4ch amp
Black Widow Alarm with Pager
I think database is absolutly necessary. So you can do sorting by genre, title, artist and so on. Also some smart playlists like being able to rate songs would be nice.
Access sucks majorly. Sql is probably overkill. What do you think Satish?

I don't think sql is overkill...its efficient and powerfulexactly what we want voices to be!
