So i modded my laptop for hooking up the ACPI wires to the power button on laptop from the Carnetix p1900.

i was using the laptop (setting programs up for my setup etc and doing test runs) for about a week to two weeks and all was fine. no problems what so ever. for some reason, now the laptop wont recognize the charger cable plugged in and wont charge the damn laptop nor supply any power to eat. The laptop turns on if the battery still holds a charge but once it dies out (with the charger plugged in) the entire system shuts off. I was able to get the laptop to recognize the charger but without even moving the laptop it lost it and began draining the battery. Any ideas what can be causing this? i know the power button works and all both wires were hooked up correctly. i checked for continunity on both the power button and acpi wires as well and they both checked out to be fine. the charger is putting out the correct voltage.

any help will be appreciated.

BTW, this is a dell insipiron 4150. The laptop was working fine before for an entire 2 weeks or so after i modded the power button.
