Ok - some new updates.
I have purchased the new CarPC:
Case:
I went with
this
case because of the fact that it has a dual pci riser card. Since I'm running the PCI sound card, I need this feature.
Motherboard:
MB899
Motherboard. Reason for going with this mobo was that at the time, there were only 4 choices for a mini-itx mobo that can run a core duo processor. The Commell has a PCI express slot, which won't work with this card. The Krontron was the same as this one, only avaliable on new egg...it's just a rebranded board. And the AOpen board doesn't even have a PCI slot. This mobo also has an optical output, which is critical incase this doesn't work and so that I can easily make the switch between the 701 and all processing on the computer.
Processor:
Core Duo 1.83
processor
Fan:
Cooler Master
fan
Memory:
1 gig of DDR2 667 memory:
Patriot DDR2 667 Ram
Hard Drive:
Seagate Barracuda SATA 3, 320 GB drive
PSU:
DSATX PSU
since the 150 watt Opus that came in the case isn't powerful enough for this set-up.
I'll be running many of the same modules as before.
GPS Reciever:
For instance, the
ET301 GPS reciever

GPS Antenna:
