Is your hard drive ok? My system took a dump last year around christmas. I used "easy recovery pro" (bit torrent
) to copy everything from my bad drive to a known good drive. It worked okay. Needed to rename some directories. But at least my data files were still there. Plus like 3-4 months of home pictures where recovered.
Always make backups!!!!!
Ghost or Acronis is a must have for any pc user/programmer!
