well, I got this thing & I gotta say that I am pretty ****ed off!
I'm ****ed off that I didn't know about this unit years ago
see now, if I was in red's shoes I'd probably make the same decision....
in competition it's important to have notoriety... faced with the choice of being a pioneer in the PC car audio field, or going with something that's already been done, I guess I fully understand & support her decision,
I don't compete with anyone but myself, & even so, part of me also wants to pursue the PC route also... although I know that part of this has just got to be hard to resist also

maybe my next build will be pc... but part of me also wants one of these things in any car I build too, so I guess well see how this goes
now about the size & fitting this.....
see, I guess I'm weird... when I look at a component I almost ignore the form factor it happens to be currently packaged in.... when I did my alpine touchscreen & saw the head unit, it didn't bother me too much that it happened to be configured as a motorized flip out... I mean I wouldn't use it in that configuration in my car, but changing that is really a minor obsticle... it's still the hardware & the screen, all I need, just chop it up
well, this thing is the same to me, just because it happens to be a 19" rack unit, doesn't mean it has to stay that way... I have got this & took it apart & it can be made smaller
... the screen & the controls can be remote mounted
