I dont think it is because I have a 4-pin s-video adaptor to yellow rca (video) and tried to hook it up to my TV and it didnt work, so I doubt his suggestion would work, unless there is something on my laptop I need to setup to use the s-video. For charging I have a converter made for my laptop to plug into the cig lighter.

Edit: Nevermind I think I figured out how to get the s-video on my laptop working, I will give it a try when I get home from work. Thanks for the help guys I will post back if I can get it working

Well if you have svideo then yes use it. To get the svideo out, you must configure the laptop to shoot video out of it. Default on most laptops is off.
