Thanks for your prompt responce, but now Im confused, in your first post you said that the 479 and the 478 were the compatiable then you said "They are NOT compatable whatsoever"
Both of the pics you have attached are different from the socket on my board. The chips you have attached have a pin count of 478 yet the socket on my board has a pin count of 479
I followed the link to ebay and both of those chips have a fsb of 400 and Im looking for a 533fsb. What am I missing
