I think the prices are quite reasonable. For the price of 3 tanks of super (on most cars) you get the basic software. In this day and age $124 does not buy too much. Most people would not flinch at paying that for a pair of shoes or a movie and sit down dinner for 2.
David cannot control what Destinator charges and everyone has the option of buying their own mapping software.
As for upgrades I am sure we all want David to spend time making the software better and better. As long as registered owners dont have to pay 100% price I am okay doing a major upgrade every 2 years. If David starts recoding in 6 months it means it might be quite a while before a compelling new version comes around. The guy might want to take a vacation or something!
I am excited we are close to having full version available for purchase !!!!!!
