The eternal debate of big numbers
In one corner USB2 = 480 and in the other Firewire 400 = 400
Now have you ever scored harddisk test of real wolrd throughput and you'll understand what I mean
Further don't forget that the big pusher of USB2 is Intel you know the guys that were telling and selling for years that only MHz counted
They are now in a position where they have completely obliterated that concept as to go in the direction of power to Watt ratio (incidently it is a selling factor :economy of energy)
Forget USB and given the choice of Firewire take it you'll be glad
Music is not only throughput but also timing and that is another matter and here the OS is also playing a big role (latency etc ...)
