When you buy a couple HDDs and have them fail, it's cheap by comparison when you consider replacing them on top of a complete rebuild.

ACTUALLY...I did look at them.
I have had same HD in car for almost two years now. No failures. I am using something similar to this:
WD Passport Portable (Black) 160 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drives ( WDXMS1600 )
AWESOME PRODUCT. And it doesnt cost 400 bux. And its not 40 gb.
Seems to me if you have bought a few hardrives and they failed...your the rookie...I did my research and no failures.
