mmmm last home audio system I installed was tuned 90% by computer, and is controlled 100% by computer, and perfected by a computer.
does focal make the best components, I wont say yes, I wont say no, my whole premis here is, when you say best its 100% perception, but you cant call something like JL the best, thats like saying a korean hooker might be a virgin. focal utopia I believe is up there, I also know you can spend $10 000 on a set of dBT tweeters, and $1000/ft for RCA cable, insane and stupid yes. but is it out there? yes. what boils my blood is when people call a company like JL the "best", its a far cry from it, even in the consumer market.
and I apologize once again cocky is all I no, when your on a plane to villas in Beverly hills, Chris browns mansion, to do nothing more the install sound systems, I worked hard for this name, I haven’t grown into my age that’s clear, hear I am bragging and liking it, I realize I have maturing to do, but im just so damn good lmao.
you know who I respect? Matt Gramn, he's a big rig at JL audio..... get to know him, let him open his trunk, you will find a surprise to say the least, this guy is a very good audiophile, so he must "rep the best" right.... wonder if that’s JL (hell he wouldn't even have to pay for it) lol, and its funny I still like this tread, I’m getting judged, and insulting the company I have the best job offer at currently. soon as I finish my B.S.M.E, don’t be surprised if you see me preaching how good JL is, there offer will only get better with further education. but right now I stand am 100% non-bias, I don’t sell/consult for car audio, I sell studio/recording and extreme high end home audio, My opinions/views come right from the heart lol, nothing swaying them like the product specialists and marketing executives at JL audio.
VERY LAST, lets be frank and final, imaging and SQ in a car isn’t CLOSE to as demanding as a recording studio, 80% of my work is going to university educated producers, and sound engineers then telling them there equipment is “garbage” and they have to buy this, this and this from us (a lot of the time I bull****, and there downgrading) my point hear is if my choices influence how the music sounds when u run to the store and buy it, wither you have a kenwood deck and stock GM speakers, or a full sound $50 000 sound stage, respect should be given to me. Like I said a good part of my day is spent either explaining why the producers arnt getting the sound they want (50% of that is there artists suck and they have ****ty recording engineers) the rest of my day Im selling them on studio equipment, as I said I don’t always tell the truth while sealing a deal, sometimes there not happy, so what do I do, blame it on the rest of there equipment, and after they buy into it and drop another $60 000 there happy. My finalized point hear is, if I can obtain the respect of producers( ultimate audiophiles), and recording engineers, it bothers me when im questioned on what I say about car audio (as simple as it gets).
