yeah, caps are not recommended as a solution for overtaxed batteries and alternators. It's best to do the big three and contemplate upgrading your alternator. You're may be pushing your factory system with the wattage you are thinking about. All the more reason to get the PDX since it's a D class amplifier, which is more efficient. Consider the 100rms x 4ch pdx instead of the 150x4.
