I'm guessing that you will not see any dimming running the pdx 1.1000.

However you may get some dimming if you add another amp.

It's also about what type of music you listen to and how much you crank it.

If you listen to bass heavy music with gains and volume cranked up, you're chances of dimming go up.

And another question is, do you really need a 1000rms amp to run one sub?

You can return it and get a ~500rms amp. That would give you the headroom to add a 4ch amp with less chances of dimming.

Personally, I would just go ahead and get a 4ch amp, install everything and deal with dimming if it happens.

and put the money you save towards having your stock alternator rewound, or buy a replacement High Output alternator
