Theres nothing wrong with vista in a carpc, as long as you disable Aero.

My main reason for not running vista on my carpc is it doesnt really support GDI/GDI+ well. And the next verion of RR is all about that.

That being said, Id love to see a roadrunner like frontend that runs off of Windows Automotive (aka windows vista embedded) that's something Id pay for. No need to optimize as its a self contained small OS, yet still have the capability of changing things.




But the point is that now there is no reason to run Vista. Once frontends support vista, and windows automotive is publicly available (last time I checked, the official Microsoft Version is not officially released yet) then there will be no reason not to use it. But now there is no reason to use it.
