LCD frame sizes for Double DIN install
Hi guys, been a lurker for a while, finally got my butt into gear to get my project on the road.... but before I start....
I'd like to know what's your recommendation on touch screen for a Double DIN?
As I'm gainfully employed these days cost difference between 250 for a lowend and 500 for a good one isn't that important to me as I'll just regret not going for a good one later.... From everything I've read I think this means the Xenarc but what are your thoughts, are there other, possibly better screens out there (must be obtainable within reason)?
Also thinking about the Transreflective but I can't see one with touch screen option. Is it worth the effort to go transflective and add a touchscreen overlay?
On to sizes. I'm asking as I can't seem to find a lot of information on the frame size of the LCD modules w/o the OE casing. As I'm going to make a custom double DIN install (thanks to the weird OE radio cutout), I really need to know the "naked" size of different LCD panels.
I'd really appreciate it if you guys can post some pics and dimensions for various 7" LCD panels, I'd prefer to mount the screen using the frame rather than glue / epoxy so if you have these pics including the frame and its dimensions it'll be really great.
