A quick call to Opus should answer all your questions. Pricing, new models, application, eta, etc. I've had limited success with email. Kris's box is probably overflowing with spam like the rest of us.
I'm using it to power a P4 2.4Ghz system. I've used it to power my Xenarc, DVD-ROM, 7200RPM 20GB HD, P4 2.4Ghz, 512 DDR, Radeon Graphics, and a handful of usb devices at once. Unfortunately, on hot sunny days, it takes a few tries to boot windows. Once booted, it works flawlessly. I pulled all the extra hardware out, down to the hard drive and motherboard, and using onboard sound/video (xenarc now wired direct to ignition feed), but it still does the same thing when its really hot inside the car.
The CPU is well within operating temps, but the Hard Drive is on the edge. Its rated at 55C, but with the sun beating on the car all day with windows closed, the metal gets to around 60C(according to temp sensor near the cpu/heatsink at boot), which includes the computer case, heat sinks, and of course the metal hd housing. Its been raining the past few days in ATL, so with the cool temps its been working flawlessly. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait to test new air circulation or hd ideas until it warms up again.
Kris from Opus says it should easily power the system and he's built a few P4 systems with many more peripherals that work just fine. I also saw Inor's G35 in person, which also runs a P4 2.4 with similar specs and a xenarc screen flawlessly. Kris said if I couldn't figure it out, I can send in my pc parts and psu and he would take a look at it. He's a very knowledgable and professional. I am very satisifed with his service and product.
