Not too long ago, traveling from Upstate, NY, we got caught in that wicked snow storm in PA while we were heading to the Keys for a family trip. We were stuck near Wilkes-Barre on Rt 81 and EVERY major road was closed. The National Guard was out and stopped everyone and made people stay the night. I whipped out the laptop, ran MS Mappoint 2006 (with BU353 gps), looked at where we were and visually right clicked on individual 'add to route' back road points (because I knew all major roads were closed) to head East to I95 North of MD and then simply said 'Get Directions' which connected all the points I added to a new route. I swear, we were the only ones that were able to escape PA that night. I have no clue if the other GPS proggies can do what Mappoint can do so easily but I know it was worth every penny for us that night.
