I believe that the 2140 already has a built in relay for the ACPI signal that is used for the Xenarc systems, it is activated by changing a jumper on the pcb.

I an not 100 percent sure but I thing it connects to ground momentarilly. This should work perfectly for your case. You can find out exactly what it does ether by using a multimeter or if you are not very hands on just ask around in the carnetix site and forum. The guys there are very helpful.

I hope that helps! You are lucky that your laptop does wake-up using this trick. many systems don't have that function.
