Performance should be exactly the same as in the US. That is to say, if they build it correctly, it should be on par (or better) than an Alpine/Clarion/Factory head unit radio reception. Aus doesnt have HD radio. It's only in trial stages at the moment. And seeing as you are in NSW, you are lucky enough to be part of the trial. Otherwise, it will revert back to standard FM/AM reception - which should be fine if they make a good product
